Richland photography instructors Wayne Loucas and Roy Cirigliana embarked on their 15th trip to New Mexico in May with 13 eager student photographers. The student works will be presented in the Brazos Gallery, Room C140, during the "New Mexico Workshop 15" exhibition.

The students traveled through Northern New Mexico, visiting sites such as Rancho de Taos, Ghost Ranch, Echo Amphitheater and up the 11,000 foot Turquoise Trail at the top of Sandia Crest, overlooking Albuquerque.

Photography student Jim Pasant was among the travelers and said the trip was a valuable experience.

"You have the great teachers that have done the trip many times and know all of the good spots. A trip like that you can't help but learn from everyone, " Pasant said. " "There are some with more knowledge and some with less."

The students have each contributed three pieces of their work for the showing, which will be kicked off with a reception Friday, June 19 at 7 p.m. in the Brazos Gallery. The photographs will remain on display in the gallery through August 6.
